Hmm… You leave a lot out. None of this worked, and through this, there are other things happening you should have addressed but intentionally skipped.

Thank you Eric! Great instructional video. Clear, step-by-step and excellent pace! I have two questions please! 1) is there a difference if the host computer with the shared drive is Win7 and the connecting computer is Win10? 2) can you please tell me what software/products you used to do the video screen capture? The video quality is excellent! I am working on some instructional videos, but I don't know what software to use for screen capture. Thank you!

Doesn’t work. Asks for crediantials when going to new PC trying to connect. Even if u make it say everyone and read write. And even if you go to network sharing making files and folders in network available.

Great video thanks. I have an issue when I right click the folder I have setup to share to give it permissions, I click everyone,Add,read and write, then when I click save, I don't get the next pop up showing the name of the network path.
Any ideas would be most gratefully received.

I'm currently setting up four Windows 7 Professional 64 bit computers, all new. First computer, will have two folders, within the My Documents folder ( not the public My Documents folder, but, the one with main user name, as administrator.)

All four computers will have same Workgroup name, (Homegroup). The other three computers will need to have access to those two folders on First computer. Since I do not want to move them to " public folder ", can I just select and allow shared permissions, ( fully shared so they can modify files in them, if needed ) on the First Computer?

So, we have four computers, on same network, in same workgroup, the First Computer will have two folders within the My Documents folder of the main administrator user, that I want to share full permissions with, to the other three computers.

Can this be done? Thank you.
