The girl on the far right seems like one of those teenage girls who post "depressing and suicidal" things on their Instagram stories to grab attention.
I have a criticism about this though. I feel as though the Black woman didn’t really speak her mind in the game, which is problematic. Unless it shows how much our media and history erases these perspectives from the narrative. And affirmative action shouldn’t be called a ‘scheme’. It’s a program which is used to help underprivileged minorities to gain more opportunity in education and the workplace. By calling it a scheme, you inherently tie it to a negative connotation, ie. a Ponzi scheme or pyramid scheme, which is incorrect and divisive. I also don’t like the fact that the only other card the Black woman could play was a ‘theft’ card as if that’s the only other card Black and Brown people could play if they don’t get affirmative action. There are many African Americans who succeed in education, own businesses, and work in spite of not getting public aid and to ignore their contributions is stereotyping minorities into the violent criminals society and the justice system often portrays them as. In addition, I think the demonization of the far left character is frankly a bit extreme. You can slip up, but you’re only human and people still recognize that, unless they willingly and knowingly discriminate or speak down to a group, which is why there was so much tension between her and the far right guy. He was smug, kept on making snide remarks, and even when he saw that the others couldn’t play the game well because they didn’t have the advantages that he had.
